With Unified Communicator, you no longer need to provide an office, home, cell and general office number in order for people to reach you, because the UC will do the work of finding you no matter where you happen to be. You can also play personalized messages for specific callers, share your PC desktop for conference calls, and consolidate your voicemail to a single location instead of needing to check multiple devices all day long. The UC also syncs with MS Outlook and has voice recognition and text-to-speech capabilities, so you can dial in, look up contacts and get connected from any touchtone phone.
