Placing and Answering Intercom Calls

To place an Intercom call:

Lift handset and press INTERCOM.
Dial your co-worker’s extension number (301-428).
1. To call the operator, dial the operator’s extension number or dial 0 or 01-04 (depending on your system setup).
2. If your call voice-announces the destination, you can dial 1 to force the call to ring.

To answer an Intercom call:

Do one of the following:
1. If you hear two beeps (which means that your phone has Handsfree Answerback), speak toward the phone or lift the handset for privacy.
2. If you hear one beep (which means that your phone does not have Handsfree Answerback), lift the handset to answer.
3. If you hear ringing, lift the handset to answer.
Talk to your co-worker.

To allow or prevent incoming voice announcements to your keyset:

Setting Up Incoming Voice Announcements (Keyset)
`Next`: Go to next selection. `Prev`: Go to previous selection. `Select`: Select current Option. `Back`: Back out of current option. `Exit`: Exit Menu setup.
`Menu` + `31`	Select the Voice Announce sub-menu.
	`On`	Turn Voice Announce on. If on, incoming Intercom calls will normally voice announce to your phone.
	`Off`	Turn Voice Announce off. If off, incoming Intercom calls will normally ring your phone.
	`Back`	Back up to the previous level.

To allow or prevent incoming voice announcements to your Super Display:

`Next`: Go to next selection. `Prev`: Go to previous selection. `Select`: Select current Option. `Back`: Back out of current option. `Exit`: Exit Menu setup.
`Menu` + `Features` + `Voice Announce`	Select the Voice Announce sub-menu.
	`On`	Turn voice announce on. If on, incoming Intercom calls will normally voice announce to your phone.
	`Off`	Turn voice announce off. If off, incoming Intercom calls will normally ring your phone.
	`Back`	Back up to the previous level.
	`Exit`	Exit to the idle menu display.

To set up Handsfree Reply on your keyset:

`Next`: Go to next selection. `Prev`: Go to previous selection. `Select`: Select current Option. `Back`: Back out of current option. `Exit`: Exit Menu setup.
`Menu` + `32`	Select the Handsfree Reply sub-menu.
	`On`	Turn Handsfree Reply on. If on, you can reply to incoming voice announcements by just speaking toward your phone.
	`Off`	Turn Handsfree Reply off. If off, you can reply to incoming voice announcements only by lifting the handset. Press `MUTE` to turn on Handsfree Reply for this call only.
	`Back`	Back up to the previous level.

To set up Handsfree Reply on your Super Display:

Setting the Ringing Volume Preset

This preset sets the default volume of your incoming ringing.

To set the ringing volume preset at a keyset:

`Next`: Go to next selection. `Prev`: Go to previous selection. `Select`: Select current Option. `Back`: Back out of current option. `Exit`: Exit Menu setup.
`Menu` + `11`	Select the Ringing Preset sub-menu.
	`Down`	Turn the default ringing volume down. The minimum setting is off.
	`Up`	Turn the default ringing volume up.
	`Back`	Save your entry and back up to the previous level.

To set the ringing volume preset at a Super Display:

`Menu` + `Volume` + `Ring`	Select the Ringing Preset sub-menu.
	`VOLUME v`	Turn the default ringing volume down. The minimum setting is off.
	`VOLUME ^`	Turn the default ringing volume up.
`Back`	Save your entry and back up to the previous level.
`Exit`	Exit to the idle menu display.
