Setting Up the Example
1. Accommodate extension number 800 assigned to station number 2 (for example):
1301-[01-10]: Function Type [System: Numbering: Dialing Plan: Numbering (1301): Function Type]
Be sure the digit 8 is type 2 (extension access).
This is the default setting.
1301-[01-10]: Expected Number of Digits [System: Numbering: Dialing Plan: Numbering (1301): Expected Digits]
Be sure the expected digits option for the digit 8 is 3.
This is the default setting.
1311-01: Station Extension Number [System: Numbering: Stations: Assignments (1311): Extension]
Change the extension number for station 2 to 800.
By default, station 2 is extension 301.
2. Allow outside Automated Attendant callers to dial the new extension.
4231-xx: Digit 01-13 Action [Voice Mail: Dial Actions: Dial Action Table: Dial Assignment (4231): Action]
For the digit 8, change the Action to UTRF (or TRF).
By default, the digit 8 is undefined.

For the digit 8, change the Routing to XXX.
