Using Voice Over


  • The ability to receive a Voice Over is set in your extension's Off-Hook Signaling options.

To initiate a Voice Over to a busy co-worker:

  1. Listen for busy/ring tone.
    1. If you don’t hear busy ring, you cannot Voice Over.
  2. Push Voice Over (Vovr) and then speak to your busy co-worker.

To respond to a Voice Over to your extension:

  1. Listen for two beeps and your co-worker's voice.
  2. Press and hold MUTE to talk to your co-worker.
  3. Release MUTE to talk to your initial caller.
    1. You can repeat this procedure as long your co-worker that initiated the Voice Over doesn’t hang up.

Setting Your Off-Hook Signaling Options

To set up the Off-Hook Signaling options at your keyset:

Next: Go to next selection. Prev: Go to previous selection. Select: Select current Option. Back: Back out of current option. Exit: Exit Menu setup.
Menu + 39 Select the Off-Hook Signaling sub-menu
  Prev Scroll backward through the call types:
  • CO Lines
  • Intercom
  • Hotline
  Next Scroll forward through the call types:
  • CO Lines
  • Hotline
  • Intercom
  Select Select the displayed call type.
  CO Lines Set the options for Off-Hook Signaling from outside lines.
  <-- Scroll backward through the CO Lines options:
  • Offhook Ring
  • Camp On
  • None
  --> Scroll forward through the CO Lines options:
  • Offhook Ring
  • None
  • Camp On
  Save Save the displayed CO Lines option.
  Cancel Back up without saving the selection.
  Hotline Set the options for Off-Hook Signaling from your Hotline partner.
  <-- Scroll backward through the Hotline options:
  • Camp On
  • None
  • Voice Over
  --> Scroll forward through the Hotline options:
  • Camp On
  • Voice Over
  • None
  Save Save the displayed Hotline option.
  Cancel Back up without saving the selection.
  Intercom Set the options for Off-Hook Signaling from an Intercom caller.

  • Camp On
  • None
  • Voice Over
  --> Scroll forward through the Intercom options:
  • Camp On
  • Voice Over
  • None
  Save Save the displayed Intercom option.
  Cancel Back up without saving the selection.
  Back Back up to the previous level.

  None Disable Off-Hook Signaling for Intercom calls.
